i have a compaq armada m700,xp home,welcome screen shows no user account icon to log on.?

seems to boot up ok.

its not on the start screen yet.its the one befor it. the windows screen that says "to begin,click your user name" but no icon to the right of it.lower left of screen shows the turn off button.iv'e tried shut down, and restart, but no luck

Check the box beside
"User Must Enter Name & Password To Use This Computer"
