What could the reversion of the valuables tax lower back to 2001/2002 numbers propose for you and your loved ones? in the journey that your internet components is worth $3,500,000, then utilising the 2009 numbers, your components gained’t owe any components taxes. assessment this with the valuables tax which would be due if the numbers are allowed to revert lower back to the 2001/2002 numbers - your components tax criminal accountability would be $a million,375,000 as a replace of $0. this is a great distinction, isn't it? And Obama and Congress have easily taken observe. So don't be shocked if the federal components tax no longer merely comes lower back in 2011 yet finally ends up taking an substantial chew out of your beneficiaries' wallet.

I think that may be one of the most twisted outlooks I have heard in a long while. The Democrats are not anti small or medium business, but just who do you think is going to pay the cost of running the US if not the small business and middle class?
The Republicans have bastardized the tax system to where the wealthy and big business no longer pay the fair share of taxes. And if they try to raise taxes on the uber wealthy and big business, they are branded as tax and spend liberals.
The richest 10% of all tax payers do indeed as the rich and Republicans say, pay about 20% of the income tax. What they so conveniently leave out, is they are collecting about 45% of the income. While the bottom 20% of all tax payes, who only pay about 5% of the income tax, are collecting about 3% of the income.
If you got the Republicans to stop giving billions to big business to ship jobs overseas, yes there is indeed a tax break for that, it would help.
If you got the Republicans to make big business, which wants to brag about being an American company, actually pay taxes to the US instead of moving their offices off shore to a post office box overseas, yes this is happening every day, it would help.
If the uber rich who make over a million dollars a year, would pay taxes bases on the % of the total income they were earing, instead of the crazy system we have of tax shelters, I paid more tax last year than 10 separate individuals who each made over a million dollars, I make 1/20th of that, it would help.
Why should a man who makes 20 million dollars buying and selling stocks and bonds, pay no income tax, and a guy who spend all day working on an assembly line, or at a desk in an office, pay thousands. Ask the Republican.

How do you target tax breaks to the small businesses that are not doing well. The job of the government is not to help poorly run businesses survive -- whether they be big business or small businesses.
Some small businesses fail and some small businesses succeed. That is the essence of a free market system.
If there are particular proposals that you think should be enacted that would improve the margins for small businesses, please specifically ask about them. Then we could answer as to whether those are good proposals or bad proposals.

Cutting Taxes for Small Business. President Clinton signed the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, which provided an estimated $20 billion in tax relief to small business over the next ten years. The bill included provisions to reduce the estate tax; increase the health insurance deduction for self-employed individuals; and update home office deductions. It also reduced capital gains taxes from 28 percent to 20 percent, giving small businesses an infusion of capital. The new law also exempts small corporations from alternative minimum tax calculations, saving about two million businesses from complex and unnecessary paperwork. One other thing...
The situtation that hurts small businesses the most, was Reagan's deregulation of trade, since they can't even begin to competewith the low wages paid to communist workers. Now stretching a bit, you can say that supports your argument, by saying that democrats haven't reverse it, but with all the money being made by multinational corporations over the deal, anyone trying to reverse it, would probably end up like JFK.

We could talk about Republican support for big business such as the big box stores. Wal-mart was incredibly effective at driving the price so low that small business couldn't compete. Big business has also shipped a lot of things overseas, again lowering the price and raising the profit margin, which is hard competition for small business.

Both parties are in the pockets of special interests, and receive most of their funding from big business. The politicians are just another tool big business uses to "farm" the working folks of this country.

To U.S veteran: I'll do you one better come over and i'll show you the proof along with all the paperwork. They are so screwed. They're sloppy as he11. Most small business owners that are democrats, are minorities, women, and union run shops. There are also those who wish to get every government handout they possibly can as well. My biggest pet project is small business health care plans that are actually affordable an provide the healthcare requirements one might need. I could give a crap less about any tax loophole.
The links provided by avail-skills just reinforce what i just said.

You already answered this: "In the end, the middle to lower class makes less money, or their jobs are cut all together." Then these people are in a position to "need" the government to "take care of them."

More small business people would be expected to be Democrats and more of the big business owners would tend to be Republicans so your argument is stupid. Also you could ask yourself is it better to spend like crazy now and pay for it later or have our kids pay for it or to spend a little now for the benefit of all and pay for it now so as not to burden our kids?

So... instead of lessening the huge corporations' tax breaks, you think we should give ALL business owners the same tax breaks? I agree that all businesses should be treated fairly equally, but I'm not sure MY taxes should be going to support their money-making ventures.
