im getting a new internet and i wanna know if 3 meg is good

I have 3.5m / 768k DSL and its actually faster than the
so-called 10/meg Comcast I had for four years
simple fact is your speed isnt THE speed
the speeds you get depends on the servers
you connect to and the latency(trip lag) of the data route
DSL makes things a bit faster having a much better
upload speed speed to work with
I find it faster for online MMO's and torrents
surfing is about the same as it was on Comcast

It might be "faster", but it is definitely not "fastest". 6Mbps would be a lot better, and some places even have 8Mbps available. I have 6Mbps, and I wish (sometimes) that it were faster.

3mb is decent. If you're getting DSL this is about the fastest that you can get. I have 3mb/768k DSL and it works great.
