Is it just me or ...after the H.P. books were starting to be filmed ...did the story lines become more cinematically friendly?....Dumbledore dies....two movies after the actor kicks it?...

okay look there have been more than one producers of the movies so don't compare 4 with 1 cuz they had different dudes behind the lens.

I think you are wrong here. I love the books and hate the movies! Besides I really couldn't tell the 2 Dumbledoes apart.

For the person that said you can't tell the dumbledore's apart - that's ridiculous. The first was infinitely better.
To the question asker: they are actually departing further and further from the books. How else do you think they fit the longest book into the shortest actual movie span? I have become annoyed with the movies for the omissions and departures that seem to take away from the feeling of reading the books.

I agree with ms happy. I really really hate the way Michael Gambon has been portraying Prof. Dumbledore!!! I could forgive the people behind the film for their adjustments and changes. It's expected. But to portray Dumbledore as Gambon does is unforgivable. His portrayal is so far from the character JKR wrote. In GoF, he pushed Harry when he asked him if he put his name in the Goblet. JKR's Dumbledore is always soft spoken, seldom raised his voice, always polite even in the face of impropriety and disrespect to him, and physically, he was never described as energetic as Gambon's Dumbledore is!

The late Richard Harris captured the real Dumbledore in his portrayal in Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets. Too bad he died before PoA started filming.

I don't quite get what you mean by more cinematically friendly. Actually, I really don't get your entire question. I'm merely reacting to the answers. Sorry.

I don't think so...but I have not liked the 4th or 5th movies...they are dark and not well translated on to the screen. They've lost the essence.
