Why did communism fall? Because people are selfish and greedy. Under a communist system, we wouldn't have to worry about anything. Everything will be taken care of. If anyone wants to come back with smarta** comments I'll gladly shoot them down. Who cares if people make less money... We'll all be equal. It is totally feasible too. Why do Americans spend millions of dollars each year to fight to sustain their economic power in the world?

You are a smart man Ben W. Unfortunately although true communism was a Brilliant Idea what you said about people being selfish and greedy is just too true. That is why their will never be a true Communist or for that matter Real Democratic Government on the face of the earth. We Humans are just too deeply flawed. Also I don't know if you are American or not (I am-proudly so) but have you ever stopped to think why Communism was our main enemy?? We are the hands down greediest nation on the face of the earth. Total Equality is a lovely Ideal but an Impossible Reality.

Whose is going to decide who`s equal ?? Communism failed because not everyone is equal . The leader can`t be equal , as he has to be above all the subjects ! The subjects can`t say or do as they please , they have to be told what , when , where , & how to do it !! Then you have the secret police that makes sure you are doing as you are told , if not ; life in prison ; work your remaining days out in a labor camp , or if you`re lucky , they will shoot or hang you as an example of what will happen if you disobey !! Then you have to have the military to quelch the riots when the subjects revolt for the freedoms` that you enjoy and you are not worthy of !!. You are making the mistake of not understanding that in communism you have no choices in anything ; your job , family , home , all of these are decided by your communist government . You had better like what career they choose for you to do , because you will have no choice ! You will work at whatever job that is in need for the good of the party ! You say you don`t want to shovel horse crap on a farm , guess what ; here`s your shovel have at it or else !! You have no freedom to determine anything for yourself , much less choosing what type of work you want do !!!.. Don`t believe me ? Then ask the 20 million Russians` Stalin killed and 14 million of them were starved to death , the 4 million North Koreans` Kim IL Sung killed, and 3million starved to death , and don`t forget the 3 million Cambodians` Pol Pot killed , they didn`t have a chance to starve to death , they were just rounded up and slaughtered so there would be food for the ones` he decided would live !! OOH, Yes , the dream of living in a communist country , check out Cuba , it`s only 90 miles off our Florida coast . Do like the Cuban citizens do that want to escape that paradise Communist Cuba and make a new life here in the Greedy USA ? Build youself a raft out of intertubes and float on across to Cuba , and find what you are looking for , a nightmare !!

Under communism is the poor who suffer. Look at Cuba, Castro has a personal fortune of $700 million dollars while his people die in the ocean willing to come here. Mao murdered millions of his own people in the 60s under his ludicrous collectivization program in agriculture. It was Communism that influenced the Shining Path's terrorism attacks against its own government in Peru during the early 90s. Learn a bit more world history, I've seen your other questions in different categories. You think the "white man" is keeping you down and you blame others for your failues. Is really pathetic how you conduct yourself. Communism doesn't bring equality, it brings murder and poverty. You are a bad American, you are not even fit to wipe the shoes of the bums of the streets. If I remember correctly not everyone was equal in the USSR. For that fact not everyone is equal in present day Cuba. I am pretty sure government officials live great lives while everyone else is treated "equally". Communism also takes away my ability to live my fullest life possible. I get capped out where the government decides. If you have a problem with children starving, as I do, then make lots of money and give your money to them. Do not force others to give theirs.
