A tim hortons near my house is hiring and I was wondering if they will accept 14 year olds. One of my teachers said they did but I want to be sure. I live in Canada just in case it matters :)

Well according the employment law you should be able to work at Tim Hortons at 14.

However there is a loop hole in Ontario and most provinces labour laws in that the employment standards act only covers you when you are 18. Meaning if you are under 18 you can not file a complaint of the basis of your age. So they may not hire you.

I would say send in your resume and see what happens.

You can work at Tim Hortons at 14 but only 3 hours during weekdays and 8 hours during weekends. Also, you can t work more then 40 hours a week in the Summer and you can t work during school hours. You can only work between the hours of 7am and 7pm. This is the Ontario laws.
