Its a vast tragedy that humanity is destroying the natural world with our egocentric greed. But then again its also a mistake to think that we humans are somehow outside of nature.
If we can get our heads around the concept that we are part of nature instead of above it somehow then maybe we can learn to stop ruining our own ecosystem as well as all the other creatures'.
We don't have to control nature, neither in the sense of destroying it nor saving it, we just have to learn to live within it and have respect for our finite planet.

GOD, the WISEST, wouldn't have ever created world and put us on it if HE thought it would be better without us. The comparison would only be known to THE CREATOR.
Not any one of us can say it'll be better because we'd never
been here before. We never knew how it was before us. We need at least 2 different things to compare like a "then" and a "now". We cannot pretend we know this through theoretical or scientifical or even philosophical basis. We cannot pretend to be "all knowing/ all smart human" who knows how it was in the beginning, and how gruesomely the world has changed to the point of stating it's better off without us human.

Time will tell. Despite our efforts, the world is quite resilient and will be around for a few more billion years. Whatever we do scratches the surface. Of course, that is where we live. So maybe the question should be are humans better off without humans. Can we live with ourselves? We are part of the world but 90% of the animals that ever existed our now extinct. We may be the first to so enthusiastically speed the process. The world might mourn the loss of one of its offspring -such potential! but it would be able to move on quickly :-).

This is quite a tricky question to answer.
The natural world would almost certainly be better off without humans: humans are destructive and harmful towards it. This is partly caused by the massive increase in the size of the human race. For not only has this forced humans to move into and destroy animals' habitats, it has also considerably increased the humans' demands on the environment. With increasing numbers of families to feed, houses to heat and bulbs to brighten the natural world is struggling more and more to fully provide. For example, more and more fish are farmed: to the point of seriously dwindling numbers. And there are examples of this everywhere.
Another cause of damage is the pollution left by mankind. And not only greenhouse gases and global warming, but also the polluting of lakes, rivers and the sea with harmful chemicals. There is also nuclear waste: devastatingly dangerous if not stored effectively...
So in this sense, yes. The world is worse off for having humans so would be better off without them. We humans are making the world less and less inhabitable by other species and increasingly less inhabitable by ourselves. The world's other species would be able to prosper far more easily without all the damage to the world which is caused unquestionably by humans.

The world will be here no matter what we do to it. We're only endangering our own existence and that of every other animal on the planet. But here's the thing, there are species that have millions of years on us in evolution. If we continue poisoning the enviornment, they'll adapt and survive and we'll just die. The planet will continue on, different maybe, but continue nonetheless.
So, if we are so bad for the world that it IS better off without us, you can bet humans will see the end of our species. We are just a small speck on the timeline of the planet.

It all depends on 'in who's perspective?'.
In a humans perspective: No, it's universally accepted that existing is better than not existing, so in a humans perspective, no.
In a farm cow's perspective: Yes! If I'm a cow that's about to be slaughtered for hamburger meat is would absolutely better humans didn't exist.
In nature's perspective: Yes, humans are tarnishing this planet, there is no doubt about it.
In the world's perspective? I think the world as a concept is indifferent to the existence of humans, actually, i think only living things can have an 'interest', so only living things can be 'better-off', or not 'better-off'.

just my opinion here of course, but my answer would be....yes most likely the world would be better off without humans. we are here, for whatever reason. but we (humans) tend to interfere and do things that we should just leave be. i think if anything, we are meant in moderation like all bad things that can harm. the world has it's own way of weeding us out tho, it's called mother nature and...it comes with tornadoes, hurricanes...etc...the earth is a living breathing organism. and since humans began the industrial stage we have started to slowly kill it.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the world is formed of humans, too. We are basic components of this world even if our contribution was more on the negative side. If the entire world was a person, humans would be among its main personality features, along with nature and environment.

I guess most humans wouldn't think so, but in the life of this planet, we haven't been here very long, & we're not being very considerate of it. I'd like to hang around for awhile & enjoy what's left of it. But would we be missed? Is the world better off without dinosaurs? Bet they wouldn't have thought so.

Well if your talking about the atmosphere, nature, etc..., the world would be better off without humans. Animals would thrive on Earth, the atmosphere wouldnt be going to global warming and all that stuff.
