There are quite a few magazines at checkout counters and I was wondering what some of the appropriate ones were. I expect a good women's magazine to include how to lose weight and keep trim, how to prepare delicious meals for their family, how to decorate on a budget, how to dress modestly, have some sewing patterns that they can try and ofcourse some arts and crafts they can do with their kids. I would not expect any gossip or sexual advice in a magazine that would be suitable for women. Any suggestions?

Any magazine she chooses to read is appropriate, whether it's Parents or if it's Playgirl. The sexual advise in magazines like Cosmo is intended to improve relationships on both sides. Celebrity gossip is unavoidable. It's included these days on CNN. What's the point of it being left out of magazines if that's the case?

Umm women magazines are how to do exercises and whats in style and how to do your make up perfect and your hair. The magazines your talking about are more then a one you would get food magazine and decorate magazise and design magazines to and then there are just regular fashion magazine which these are names of them i dont know if you have them in the us or not.

Any magazine is fine because I don't tell her what magazine or article she must read. that is being sexist. I always maintain an open mind and heart because that is the true definition of romance.

My buddy Cyril got a violation notice for saying this, so I'm backing him up:

"Don't be silly, women can't read."

Now, whichever one of you hyper-feminist jerks were too dumb to realize he was just joking, you can stick it up your craw. It was a funny response to an intentionally sexist question and Cyril was trying to be sarcastic because believe it or not, he's probably the least sexist person I know.

Ok, you sound like a very controlling kinda guy! Do you also pick out her clothes and pick her friends? Is she allowed to have friends? Bet she isn't allowed to have a job and must have dinner on the table promptly at 6 too.

Any girl would be a fool to date you or even think about marrying you!

It's Cosmo for me all the way!

Good Housekeeping
MS Living
Better Homes & Gardens
Woman's World
Woman's Weekly
Cosmopolitan would be out.
Playgirl would also be out. What a shame?
