Congress needs to get off its duff and start acting like a co-equal branch of govt.
Bush and Cheney need to be slapped down, in no uncertain terms, and told that ignoring federal laws is not acceptable for anyone. If that takes impeachment, then it does. But Congress can get the message through in other ways.
It's not a partisan issue. Anyone from any party who pulled this kind of power coup needs to be slapped down hard. Otherwise, the next president just makes it worse, and so on and so on -- until we have a dictatorship, or on the other branches of govt slap someone down hard.

A rogue Trident submarine needs to nuke Washington DC and take out everyone currently there. Then perhaps a newly rebuilt Senate,Congress, Pentagon, and White House could be elected.
