The inescapable fact so far is that telekinesis has never been demonstrated or observed. Many people have tried, and many people have claimed the ability, but all demonstrations have utterly failed. What you've seen on TV shows are just illusionist tricks, nothing more. It goes without saying that someone with real telekinetic ability would go down in history, become world famous and wealthy beyond measure. If someone had the demonstrated ability, we'd know it.
As a side note, there was a research group at Princeton for about 25 years which worked on PK. The group, after working so hard and so long, refused to consider that their work was wasted, but outside objective analysis showed that their work was indeed a flop. There are a number of fatal statistical flaws in their experimental analysis that can be easily identified (see skepdic.com link).
So, no, as of yet there is no evidence for telekinesis, and as far as our scientific knowledge goes, there is absolutely nothing about the human brain that would suggest it could harbor such powers.

It is possible that, eventually, we may be able to answer that question, but for now, the only real answer that we have is that 'the word' telekinesis, exists in our vocabulary. When you pay attention to how language and meaning are used, there is the answer that, NO, telekinesis is not 'real'! Real is spelled quite differently than telekinesis. The two words are not the same. But that is a linguistic, and not a scientific, definition. Language, and its meanings, does have a large part to play in what we define as real and fake.
