Look carefully at history. After Wilson's stroke it is widely alledged that his wife had the key voice in all decisions. Also, Eleanor Roosevelt was clearly highly influential although Franklin remained in charge of foreign policy.

Comments as to Nancy Reagan are clearly warranted but are clearly not as germane as those concerning Wilson's wife.
