My car died one day after the battery light had been on for almost a week so we took the battery to autozone and they charged it. The guy said to use it and if it's bad they'll replace it. So I drove it and it died again. We took it to autozone and the girl said that the battery was bad so they gave us another one. We installed it but the battery light is still on so i'm scared the car will die again. What do i do?

The battery light has nothing to do with the battery. It means that there is a problem with your charging system....probably a bad alternator.

Take it anywhere on earth other than AutoZone and have the alternator checked.

You most likely have a bad alternator causing the battery to drain, replace the alternator and all sude be fine. If you picked up a Duralast Battery they are good ones so I don't think it is actually a problem with the battery I am sure you will find the alternator is not charging. If you continue to drive around with a bad alternator you are going to ruin the new battery and they will not refund your money. James Horner Svc Manager at Johns Ultimate Auto in Western NY

The battery light is indicating that the alternator is not charging. First check the belt to be sure that it is tight. If it is, chances are that the alternator is bad. The first battery you bought did not go bad, it just did not get charged, hence, go back to the alternator. The alternator keeps the battery charged while the vehicle is running.

You either have a bad alternator or another problem with the car. Most likely, even the new battery will fail until the problem is corrected.
