No that's not right. Criminals don't care about wire tapping because they have plenty of other methods to plan their crimes without using the phone or other traceable electronic media.
Those that follow the law have a right to privacy, which is broken when the government spies on average people. Are we able to spy on those spying on us? Well then what gives them the right to spy on anyone?
The government has not earned and certainly does not deserve our trust. Too often we find out that the ones doing the spying are the real criminals.

The criminals are those doing the wire tapping. Read the Constitution.

No that is NOT even close to right.
I am not a criminal, never been arrested, wouldn't harm anyone, but I do NOT want the Government or anyone else listening to what I say on the phone.
I don't think it is the Governments business if I call my wife and say sexy things or even what time my Drctors appintment is. It's called the right to privacy.
perhaps Ben Franklin said it best. This is also a favorite quote of Ronald Reagan's who would be appauled by many things going on in this administration.
"Those who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security."

That question is absolutely wrong. If I had anything to hid the cop, fed, ect would have already been knocking at my door. I oppose wiring tapping without a warrent because slowly our rights are being taken away. If we don't wake up soon most of them will be chewed up by our own government. Give an inch they will take a yard!

False! Any sane law abiding citizen would not allow their privacy to be invaded by wire tapping. I'm a law abiding citizen who is highly opposed to wire tapping and other forms of privacy invasion. As citizens in a free society we have the right to our privacy. Criminals are against it for obvious reasons.

Possibly. The ACLU does not agree with wire tapping. It might only seem like they are all criminals.

I'm against wire tapping and I'm not a criminal. I think its entirely too much power for the state to handle. When you give govt. power say good bye to your right to do that, they don't ussually give it up very easily.

I don't mind using wiretaps as long as it's done legally. I am totally against warrant-less wiretaps. I don't want my government to be able to tap my phone just because they think they have the right. That's how people lose their civil liberties and civil rights.

I'm not a criminal but I am opposed to indiscriminate use of wiretapping. Because how are we to know that they are using the taps to catch someone who is actually a criminal? How do we know that politicians aren't using them for other reasons?

No, no one really likes wire tapping, except in the case of Terrorism.
Democrats are against the Patriot Act because they get wire tapped when they call Terrorists on the phone.
But I tell Democrats to just write Terrorists letters, instead.
But.....OH NO!!!! Democrats want to talk to Terrorist Friends on the phone.
Okay, go for it.
