What do you do in Phoenix in the summers?

Yes, I know about the quintessential "Pool" and "Mall".

Stay inside! Just kidding.

Pools are nice. There are also 3 different water parks in Phoenix that are fun to do for a day (Big Surf, Waterworld Safari, and Sunsplash).

Castles 'N Coasters is kind of fun. There are arcade games you can play to waste an afternoon and there is mini golf there. My fiance and I like to mini golf after the sun has gone down.

The Salt River I heard is pretty fun (never personally tried it).

The lakes around here are pretty cool too. I like Lake Pleasant, but there is also lake Havasu and lake Powell. We like to take our boat and pull each other in a tube or on water skis/boards.

I like to take little trips with my fiance up north where it's cooler. It's nice to get away from the heat for a weekend.

The problem is there's lots to do, but with the heat and humidity, you never feel like doing anything. I like going to the movies, it's cool and dark. Or go north, Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, anything in the pines.

We leave. :) If we're not in the pool, we go to CA or to the mountains in Oak Creek or Christopher Creek.

Staying in Phx in the summer is necessity, not choice.

Phoenix is a nice city, prefer Paradise Valley as I have family that live there, however I only have one word,,,,,,,HOT!
