Is the drive "trying" to burn it, or does it refuse to burn the DVD altogether? If it is the former, try using a different burning program. If it is just a set of files, not arranged like a movie DVD, try ImgBurn. If it is refusing to burn altogether, then you may have an older drive, one that is only capable of burning either DVD+R(W) or DVD-R(W), but not both, and you are using the opposite type of DVD that it wants/requires.

The only option, in most cases, is to get a new drive, or else get the other kind of DVDs. There are some drives that can be fixed with a firmware update, but not everyone likes doing this.

First, make sure you have a DVD burner drive. Second, use DVDs and not CD-Rs. Third, make sure you have a progra, that is designed for burning DVDs. Finally, make sure you have the rights to the video(s) you are burning.
