I've always know that anything on the internet that is free is usually not worth what it costs.
Recently I did sign up for a free appraisle on my home with LowerMyBills.com. Shortly after , I got about 40 calls in the same day. Definitely not worth it.

I'm pretty sure they are fake. Don't do them. And the offers, I've seen the ads and for the offers you have to give them your credit card number while paying and they could just take 100s of dollars without you knowing, so no, don't do it. The risks are HUGE and the chances of it being fake are even bigger.

I never signed up for the pop-up offers. I always figured that if they were annoying, they didn't deserve my business anyway. I signed up for a few sites though, got a Wii and a few hundred. Working on a lap-top now.
Never sign up for a site that wants your zip code and then makes you go through lots for crap to even get to the offers pages...

I did once. I signed up for a free NFL replica jersey. All I had to do to get it was join Columbia House DVD club, which I did. Never got the jersey.
