Brave New World is Huxley's parody on what people wanted in the 1930's, utopia and no more war. Brave New World, and its sequel, is a view of what happens when human beings lose the source of humanity and individualization. Though there is no war or poverty, everyone must live and act th same. There is no thinking. There is no progress. The world is stagnant and a few souls rule as keeps of the rules. People are not allowed to breed to have children but can have sex through a reality machine. Babies are produced in labs to genetically engineer what their set role will be. And the drug Soma (an actual muscle relaxant prescription medication) is used to keep the people calm, happy and allow them to sleep (without dreams).

The message is that although the world is supposed to be a utopia and careful, people are not individuals. People lose the source of identify from family, literature and religion.
