Ok does anyone feel like straight people think that being gay is just about having gay sex? like it seems to me that they dont realize that gay people really do LOVE the people they are with, not just in love with their body parts..

In most cases, a straight person can not understand how a gay person feels about his partner becuase he himself being straight is interested in certain body parts of the opposite sex which a person of the same sex does not have. But this is not true in all cases. I am in love with a hetrosexual man and he is also in love with me for the last 14 years. We do everything that a gay couple really in love with one another can do.

Yeah, esp the religious crowd. The first thing they bring up is the issue of gay sex and how the bible says that men should not have sex with each other. ( by the way, i think the bible is referring to straight guys having gay sex when they cant get any from women for whatever reason or when they get bored of sex with women but thats a different story) They cant seem to argue against simple emotional connections and true love between homosexual individuals.

When people think about anything to do with sex, they get all turned on, I think. Just mention being gay and sex is all they can think about. Even straight guys, I notice, seem fascinated and horny at the mere mention. I've found it advantageous that for most guys "gay" = "sex".

well, the ignorant people think like that, but hey, we all think the same about men to women (which is kinda proven by science).. it's mostly the person. I have tons of friends who know I'm not out for sex! straight people, lesbian, gay, bi, and transgerndered alike have sex any time that is convenient. It's normal!

This really annoys me. Being in a same-gender relationship is not what defines a person. It is a part of a person, nothing more. It also bothers me that some straight people think that because you are gay/(if they are a man) then you will be attracted to them. Or if you are a lesbian (and they are a woman) then you will be attracted to them. PLEASE!!

Speaking as a straight person, no I don't feel that way. I have a friend from high school who is a lesbian. Actually, we dated in high school, before she came out. She has been with the same lady now for 20 yrs. They are very much in love, and you can see it when they look at each other.

Haha i'm offended by utilising stuff like this and that i'm right now. needless to say, your pal does not settle for gay human beings-even nonetheless she could shelter herself and say it became merely a shaggy dog tale. once you are going to apply words linked with being gay to point some thing unfavourable then you relatively needless to say do in comparison to gay human beings. you are going to be able to desire to ask her to provide up doing it. yet, probability is she would be waiting to no longer. the two way, it won't replace her approach or what she relatively thinks approximately being gay. perhaps she would be waiting to alter finally now that she has a gay pal? i'm relatively sorry :( It bothers me while human beings do issues like this. with a bit of luck she would be waiting to alter her attitude. Edit: It hurts as a results of fact now that she is conscious you're gay, it fairly is very own. you sense like it fairly is an attack (which no longer on the instant, this is.)

A lot of people think this sadly. They think that to even be gay you've had to had gay sex. It's horrible and annoying how people give into stereotypes sooo easily.

I feel like this as well. The majority of straight people can only on focus on who we have sex with, nothing else.
