I was told the rocking of the engine block(forward and back) was a worn out torque strut. But I cant find the bloody thing. How much would the part be?

In addition to the torque strut, check your engine mounts. They may be worn out instead of the torque strut. If your car has a torque strut, it would be attached to the subframe and more easily accessible from under the car.
