Alright my cousin is 19 yrs old basically like a little sister to me and she even babysits my kids sometimes.She fell hard for her first bf senior year he became her first well you get the picture.They got enagged but he broke up with her after the first semester of college for another girl and this has torn my cousin up.Now this guy has come back he still has the same gf though and wants a fling with my cousin.She recently told me she is going along with this to get pregnant so he will want to marry her?She is comparing her situation with what happen with my husband and i.Which is very rare I got pregnant by accident during a fling but my man and i would get together for 4.5-5yrs.Because 3 months after my son was born my man was in a car accident that left him almost paralyzed for almost 2 yrs.I helped to care for him during that time but after he recoved we both saw other people for a while before getting back together and marrying.How do i convince her my situation is not hers?

I know my cousin is depressed and hurt but i just want to get through to her.Every time i do though she calls me a hypocrite?

Like the saying goes, actions speak so much louder than words. You are her role model. I dont mean to sound harsh, but no matter how you spin it, she does make a point.

getting pregnant is certainly not the ans. this guy left her before a child isn't going to make him stay if he doesn't want to she needs to see the downside like no life after kid is born being a single parent I'm a single mom my husband was killed 3 yrs ago and left me to raise my 6 yr old alone its hard i work all day daycare is expensive the state gives me diddly squat for food $10.00 a month no kidding to feed us my rent is $820.00 a month gas electric phone etc how can she make ends meet??? i cant and a child is expensive diapers, clothes daycare everything she should read this email. children should be a blessing not a burden and she will see it as such unfortunately.

Tell her the truth he just wants a shag and that's it. Bringing a child into the world for all the wrong reasons will bring resentment and harm to the child if the relationship turns to custard.
OR
You could tell her to get out of HER nappies before she starts folding any.

get your cousin to see her self worth and let her know that any guy that wants to put you on the side does not love or care about you. i think that you should also explain to her that trying to trap a man into a marriage by getting pregnant by him will never work! tell her that if this man does not care about her now., he will not care about her later and worst case senario is that he will leave her and never speak to her once she finds out that she is preganant with his child. best of luck to her and let her know she is more that what that guy sees her
