kids, remember the following facts about elections
In early 1975, Jimmy Carter was polling at 1% (he went on to win the presidency).
In early 1987, Michael Dukakis was polling at 1% (he went on to win the Democratic nomination).
In early 1991, Bill Clinton was at 2% (he went on to win the presidency).
In the spring of 1999, John McCain was polling at 3% (he went on to win the New Hampshire primary).
In early 2003, Joe Lieberman was leading the field for the Democratic presidential nomination (he failed to win any primary).
In 2003, the other top contender was Howard Dean. He too, failed.
So people who dismiss him are ignoring the unpredictable patterns of election cycles. Ron Paul's message harkens back to the days when Republicans were fiscal conservatives, in the proud tradition of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. George W. Bush has spent more money than any other administration in history, and the top tier GOP candidates show no indication of discontinuing this trend. As far as I am concerned, none of the other GOP candidates have a chance against the democrats except for Ron Paul.

Thanks for your post!
In case you haven't seen the latest news release on Ron Paul, here it is:
http://www.goupstate.com/article/20070722/NEWS/707220341/-1/BUSINESS
Supporters call it the "Ron Paul Revolution." You might have seen it on signs or T-shirts. Or MySpace.
"We've lost our faith and confidence that freedom really works," Paul said to an enthusiastic, almost fanatical, crowd.
Paul said. "The sooner we get out of Iraq, the fewer Americans will die. And I say, it's time to come home."
During the applause, the crowd often began chanting Paul's name and waving the revolution signs - one stated "Vote Yes for Dr. No."

He has no chance. A vote for Paul is a vote for a Republican and that will never happen in my lifetime!
