...as opposed to sex while you don't want to get pregnant? I was just wondering if your attempt to get pregnant makes the experience more enjoyable?

In my opinion, No. When you are TRYING to get pregnant it becomes more like a job than having sex with your partner.

People who put alot into trying to get pregnant usually have rules and some sort of schedule that they think will get them pregnant the fastest.

With my first we were open to having a baby, not really *trying* and it was nice... sex when we wanted, no protection. With my son we were really *trying*, we had a schedule and ovulation sticks and all of that jazz.. it was stressful.

I think it's more enjoyable when trying to have a baby. When I don't want to get pregnant I do always have that little bit of worry in the back of my mind since no birth control is 100%, but when trying to have a baby there is nothing to worry about and i think sex means more than sex or even "making love" because we're trying to create something that will grow inside me...that's just how I feel.

It depends on what type of birth control you're using, and how hard it is for you to get pregnant.

If you've been trying for a baby and haven't been successful, and you're taking temps. and scheduling sex, that's pretty much the worst. The woman is stressed and the man can feel used. Some people can pick when they want to conceive but we were lucky to get the two kids we got.

But if you've already had your kids (or you don't want any) and one or both of you have been "fixed", that's the best ever. Very relaxing and no worries.

So I would say from my own experience, it has been better since we had our kids.

i'd say it was better, when you have sex for sex sake, Yes its exciting at the time, but once its over its over...
I found when i was trying to concieve the sex was better because it didnt just feel like sex... I felt like i was 'making love' Like i was saying to my husband ' i want you to father my children' and it brought us closer together and made us bond even more. ...

Then of course you have the excitement of waiting to see if you are pregnant... after 6months of trying i finally concieved. I have a beautiful daughter now whos 5months old. I love the fact that me and my husband were actually 'trying' for a baby when she was concieved and it didnt 'just happen'

Yes and no. It can get you very irritated if you don't get pregnant for a while. Then it turns into your only having sex for 1 thing (if it takes a while) and missing the whole being intimate with eachother.

Not for me- it was okay at first, but it got to where it felt like we 'had to' have sex. Not the best environment for making something as special as a baby! And we only tried for 2-3 months, I feel so bad for couples who try for years! :o)

It makes it much worse. You are always having to schedule it and have it on certain days, even when you don't want to, in order to try to get pregnant. It's stressful and tiresome.

that depends! If it becomes a chore and you do it like everyday during your fertile week than no its not! If you have it at the spurr of the moment and at the back of your minds you know that from this one time you can create a wonderful life then yes!

Yes.... it does. It releases a lot of inhibitions because there are no worries.
And, btw: sex is awesome when you are pregnant, too. You know you can't get pregnant again, so again, it releases a lot of inhibitions (as long as it's comfortable) .. plus, there are parts of your body that are even more sensitive, so it makes orgasms more intense. Umm.. for me anyway! LOL
Enjoy, and be safe!
