Yes it is possible for the tests to be wrong. It is quite common to get false negatives(sorry). Buy another one and make sure you take it first thing in the morning because the pregnancy hormones are more easily detected with your morning pee than at any other time and if still in doubt go to the doctor.

P.S. with my first child I took 2 that said negative and a friend suggest I do it early in the morning as soon as I got up the test was positive. He is 9 yrs old today. The test are not 100% otherwise I wouldn't have a 9 yr old.

Pregnancy tests are pretty much 100% accurate. If you are dieting or not eating properly this can cause a period to miss. Also if you have been unwell and have been taking certain tablets this can delay things. If you miss a second period and still the tests are negative then go to the Dr. to investigate as to whether there are any other reasons. Good luck!

Were they home pregnancy tests? When I was pregnant with my first, the home tests kept coming up negative. It was only at the doctor's office that I found out that I was really pregnant. Is this your first time missing a period? You know your body best. If your'e usually pretty regular and there is a slim chance of being pregnant, then maybe it is time to see the doctor. Hope you hear the news you wish to hear!

I don't think the pregnacy tests would be innaccurate especially if you've done two. There are quite a few reasons why you may have missed a period - could it be that it is just late? Could be two weeks late? Some people have them very infrequently, but if you're usually regular could be other things like stress. If you're worried best see a doctor, but by the time you get in to see one you might just have one! May be down to stress.

You can test too soon after a missed period. You are detecting human chorionic gonadotrophin HCG.this is only present when pregnant.Leave until you are 7 days late before testing. The hormone level doubles every 72 hours. If you test before then and it is positive you are pregnant. If you test too soon the level may not be high enough. Therefore you may get a false negative.
That is you are pregnant but the HCG level is too low

Yes I think it is possible. I had a negative pregnancy test done at my Dr's surgery when I was actually pregnant. I insisted to them that I was pregnant and they suggested waiting a week and testing again.

Have you tested at home? If so go and see your GP and expain.
