I used to work in the media and the slant that stories take always follow the directions of the corporate masters...the advertisers...and the political tyrants of the day.
To change this you can always refuse to buy the products of the advertisers who approve content or, in the case of politicians and political parties bringing pressure to bear, kick the bums out at the next election.

Well, yeah. You've got to take everything you hear on the news or read in the paper with a grain of salt. If you swallow everything hook, line, and sinker, then you're just going to become brainwashed like the majority of Americans who swear by ABC, CBS, and NBC.
Read about an issue from a variety of sources--both independent and national--and make your own informed decision based on both sides of the argument.

And I just thought that was the definition of media.
The problem is many people are too ignorant or plain stupid to do anything but blindly follow and believe the representations and images presented to them by TV.
There of course many intelligent people who know how to read the media and understand the things that make it run (mainly profits, which come from advertisers)

I know they have mesages, tehy are called "subliminal messages" or something.

there's also a second screen subliminal measure that can be taken and has been done.
subliminal mind control is overlooked and not taken seriously yet there is evidence of it's use by the world's governments still to this day.

"Hidden"? No, I think they make it quite clear when someone is too fat or skinny, or on drugs, or gay, or what's good for us, what's bad for us, and who's right and who's wrong. You've just gotta stay above it.

It is sad, indeed, that the entities with so much power waste their power spouting negative messages.
May God bless you.
