Anton,
I am serious too. I can see you are serious as death and you feel this to your very soul.

I would like you to consider putting this off until you get your full man strength and are fully grown. Right now, you do not have the muscle development, size, strength, co-ordination, speed, agility, in short you are not yet at your peak as a weapon to go after the Al-Quieda. At 15 you will not be either. If you will wait until you are 18, your body will be at its peak in everything except strength. You would have to be a bit older to be at your full strength potential.

You will be very much on your own by the sound of it, and will have very little support covering your back. You must be at you highest potential to hope to stay alive to win in this fight. The dead do not win wars. The dead do not fight anymore.

You fight will be long and exhaustive. Your physical endurance must be close to superhuman. While you are still growing, your body tires more easily than when you are grown. Do not undermine your own ability to win, by starting too soon.

Do not make your life a series of rash beginnings and premature endings. You are too valuable for that.

I think all of us here commend you on your bravery, but the government will not just let you "go" to Iraq, its a little bit more'
complicated than that. And you would have to have ID that says you are older than 15.Our guys and gals over there are trained for at least 6wks.before making that trip. I have a friend over there and believe me you would NOT like to be there...he is in a infantry battalion, and he said it is NOT fun.
Sometimes he can't even find a pen to write home with...He wanted to know where those "catered" meals are they are always talking about, he's lucky to have bottled water. He was issued socks when he was deployed,he's now down to three pair that if he doesn't wash,he has to wear for days.
I'm doing my little part too. There are alot of Americans back home trying to do their part. We mailed coffee,snacks,socks,t-shirts(brown),pens,they loved flavered tuna fish,in packets, they thought that was a delicaecy.flavored drink mixes(propel is his favorite).Only so much goes in a skinney box the post office gives us,but it's still 8.00/box.The large box I mailed cost 25.00. If you really want to help, get people to donate items for our soldiers. It's ashamed our government can't afford to give our soldiers socks and underwear! This is how I feel we as Americans can help.Leave the fighting for the soldiers. You can join a jr ROTC,and when you turn 18 sign up then! I'm sure will still be fighting some war, some where.

Anton if you want to fight Al-Queda Iraq is not the place to go. Very few of the people fighting in Iraq are part of that organization according to our Military. The Iraq people have never liked AlQueda and they will leave as soon as we do. None the other countries in the region like him either. We need to get out of Iraq so the country has a chance to stabilize and settle their problems without the US getting in the way.

If you want to fight terrorism, go to college and learn Arabic and other languages and then go work for the CIA, FBI or some other intelligence agency. Occupying Iraq has done nothing to make our country safer according to our own intelligence agencies.

I don't think you can go until you are at least 18... and hopefully by then you will have learned that dying for no reason is not worth it.

I do admire your bravery and your loyalty... but take some time to study a bit of politics.. learn that this war is a war created for a whole lot of reasons and none of them very good.

Good luck in all you do... and I truly hope you do not choose to die... life is a precious gift.. we would all make the most of it.

I like the education idea you got from one of your answerers...
..you can do a lot more for your country by getting better
than passing grades in high school...pick a good military
college...become an officer of the branch of service of your
choice....this way you will be spending your money wisely,
giving yourself a fighting chance to do your country good as well as a better chance of staying alive! Your country doesn't
need dead heros....so change your attitude about 'dying for
your country'...do like General Patton said..."make the other
poor bastard die for his...."!

The anwer to the question is, "there is no question". Ahh, a very Zen answer indeed.

War is not cool, people are dying in Iraq as I type this sentence and those people have loved ones here at home, in my neighborhood. You do not want to go to Iraq.

Republicans are equaly as wrong and evil as Deomcrats, do not trust either of them.

Congratulations for having great parent(s) that actually tell you what is going on. At the young age of fourteen you can give them an intelligent "cult leader", one so young can help lead them out of the darkness (violence & hatred) that they have been brain washed to believe. God speed...

my son and daughter and many of their Friends are already in Iraq. please do not go . you will only be hindering then and putting their lives in jeopardy. they have enough dangerous things to worry about without a little 15 year old going in to have to be rescued. you will be wasting valuable troops by going before you are old enough. if you truly want to go start now by making sure you are physically very fit. mentally healthy and well educated. to go before you reach the age of consent will only get you and our troops in trouble. please wait until you are 18 . you can sign up for the armed services before you are 18 then on your 18 b-day you are on your way to boot camp.

There are probably millions of young Americans who feel as you do, but super heroes are found only in comic books. Stay home and enjoy your great country.

You have a great heart and good insight and courage. I honor what you want to do and your right it is worth it but you are still too young. We need you to wait until you are 18 and then give it your all. your parents should be proud of you!!!
