the lower part of the six and the uppoer part of the 9 represent the body while the tail ends of the numbers represent the sexual organ. The sexual position 69 is one of the most commonly known sexual positions. In this position, two people orient themselves such that each person's mouth is near the other's genitals, enabling them to perform mutual oral sex. This position can be performed in same-sex or opposite-sex pairings. The term "69" is a reference to the fact that the digit 6 is the digit 9 rotated 180 degrees; similarly, with one partner's body rotated by this angle, it becomes possible for two partners to stimulate each other's genitals simultaneously.

I'm not exactly sure who came up with it but the whole idea behind it is positioning. The "term" means to engage in oral sex together simultaneously. The only way to do this is to have a head-feet, feet-head position. The circle in the 6 represents the "head" and as does the circle of the 9.

If you look at the position of the 6 and 9, they are mirror images of each other. So then if you think of the sexual position, 69, then it should make sense.

The numbers are reversed as in the positions during the 69 sex act.

I have no idea, but i didn't know it at first. Some kid told me it had something to do with the number of proteins in urine or something stupid that i believed...so when ever anybody said 69 i always said eww you're gross, but had no idea what it actually meant.
It literally took me like five years later to actually figure it out for myself, because it doesn't really make too much sense.

I believe it came from the symbol of the numbers themselves, if you look at the round part of the six and the nine as though that is a persons face. Also because the are the same number but one is upside down as though two people would be in that position....hope that makes sense.

listin, its when you sit on your boyfrinds face and while you are sitting on his face, you are giving him head and he is gving you head at the sane time. Thats why when you turn the two letters on their backs, the large circle parts are at different ends representing bothof the peoples heads. Ok again... so laying down the boys head in under the girls genitals and girls head is over the boys genitals or vice versa.
