im for people coming here and applying legally or working visa! but i still dont see the need for that much protection on that border america should be more concerned about the canadian border as torrorists preffer it because canada is more liniend about immagration! anyway i woul love to hear your opinions!

as a guatemalan/italian i dont see how where i come from is a problem seeing as how we dont touch the us in any way! lol soo dont hate on me!

i saw a question from thsi redeck who said they take our jobs... the jobs were to lazy too do like pick grapes i would tottally kick his *** if i saw him

Illegal imigrants are called ILLEAGAL for a reason. Untill anyone has a card they should not be able to come here. Speaking english should be a requisit. You come to America you speak American. Untill 10 years ago our town had no minorities.The canning factory had hired some mexicans here on a visa. There were two groups, the good and the bad.When the factory shut down the good asked at a town meeting if they could stay. They wanted to be welcome. they are active members in the school and community. The bad also stayed. Nobody goes into there block at night. Theres now drugs and fights and almost always starting from the "bad"mexicans. The problem is those that don't try or want to do what they did in there country. The kids learn english in school but the parents don't want to learn. Or the goverment helping out the hmong who illegally came here and let them get away with crime because they didnt know cuz its ok in there culture. thats all bull! My grandparents came to this country where we can trace when they landed on Ellis Island. They worked very hard to learn English and laws of America and never got any help from he goverment. My dad and uncles fought in Vietnam and one in gulf storm. It is easier for an illegal to get health care then them and they fought for our freedom and what everyone else wants to get here. If they want to stay fine give them 3 years to prove them self. Let them find there own work and pay for there own english classes. No Im not prejudice, I have many friends from many different cultures but all speak english and will take there hat off to the flag.

I'm not. So, I see the impact on American workers of a person from another nation taking a job he can do.

There is a middle position which will resolve all this. But first both sides have to yell at each other for a while.

I'm Italian too! okay now to answer ur question. i have nothing against Mexicans actually all my friend sep 2 r Hispanic. but i think there is no reason they couldn't just come here legally. i mean it doesn't cost much. and to be smuggled here they pay thousands. so they obviously have the money to come legally. so they must be hiding drugs or something. yeah i agree with u america is buit buy mexicans while americans laze around. mexicans r hard workers and should be d@mn proud of it.

i agree with you that applyig legally is fine. i have so many spanish classes in my school. our school had 400 students. now it has 700, most of them hispanic. i have nothing agasint them. i just feel that they should just get papers and come legally. some where born here. im italian too. since the spanish classes were connected. *we were in mobiles this year due to large increse*, and we had math with them *we were in a split class* and they are very nice and i belive that atleast more then half are legal. and a3/4 of the class gets to move on and out of the spanish class! im very happy for them. anyways they are very nice and im aqqaintences with them. i also belive that yes they should prtect the canadian border more due to terrorists.

Am I against illegals coming here and then applying for a work visa? Yes. Get the visa first, and come over legally, if they want to be here. Lets' get their background checked, and know who we're letting through our gates, here.

I am all for it 100%! People that sneak into this country are taking the jobs that NOBODY else would do. You wont get 1 white american working all day in the fields like the mexican workers do. People are so friken racist, i met this one lady that said whenever she see's them sneaking across the border she shoots them ! (I live in california) so BULL, they're not taking our jobs.

I'm against illegal immigration but maybe the real question should be 'should immigration be made illegal'.

And lighten up a bit on us Canadians. Its a big fat lie that terrorists come from Canada. Just because we tend not to go looking for fights, it doesn't mean that we're soft.

I dunno about the American borders but I'm British and I'm sick of our country just allowing anyone and everyone with a sob story to just frolic in. I'm happy if they've got a visa and they want to work and raise a family but when immigrants arrive, take people's jobs and houses and get catered for when they have no right to be there then that's just not right.

I'm for it because i understand why their coming to the u.s but it's also unfair that my family and i had to wait 3 years to get our papers and they didn't.
In my opinion i think they shouldn't separate any families that are over here but instead fix their papers and then bring more immigrants

and y are people only picking on Mexicans there is more immigrants from other places that come here illegally

same here. i think that everybody has right to live in our country, its only right. i mean we r all have a right to a free life and we all deserve happiness. if a family thinks that they can have a better life here they should not be discrimagated against just because of their home country...........
