This is a supposedly happily married, middle aged, woman. She will go out of her way to interrupt if a man is talking to another woman at work, even though it's just business. Why is it that important to her to be noticed?

Megan, No, I'm not jealous...it just gets old. Several of us have been wondering what makes her do the things she does.

She may have an inferiority complex, or is just naturally a competitive-type person. Actually, by doing things like interrupting a business conversation, she is drawing attention to herself in a negative way. Some people just naturally seek the limelight, like the so-called "social butterflies". They like to be the center of attention because it boosts their ego. But as I indicated, that can often defeat their purpose if done excessively or indiscriminately.

When a woman is young and pretty she gets use to a lot of attention from men. If she is wise she will develop her mind and other attributes of her personality and realize that attention is temporary. One of the sad things I have seen in life are women all painted up with outfits far to young for them going to the bar in hopes that they will find someone, anyone who will pay attention to them even if for only a moment to take them back to where they were as a young attractive woman. A very needy narcissistic person I would say and they can emotionally wear a person out. Mmm
