For those that have read the 7th book ( harry potter and the deathly hallows), who liked the book? Was the ending good? Who did you expect to die? Did you like the book? Why or why not? Rate the book from 1 to 10.

I liked the book though it was very, very sad. The deaths of Fred Weasley, Lupin, Tonks, 'Mad-Eye' Moody, Dobby the house elf, Scrimgeour, and Severus Snape shocked me. I think the book was the best of all other 6 and that this book was action packed the whole time. I felt extremely sorry for Fred and Snape. Fred was an energetic character and his death was uncalled for. Snape was in love with Lily Evans all along and that's why he was protecting Harry. The book also had an amusing epilogue which made me a little satisfied with the way things turned out. All in all, this is one book you might remember for a long time. I give this book a 9/10.

I thought the book was brilliant as it answered all the questions I had. I would give it 9.9 out of 10.

Personally, I think this one of the best of the Harry Potter books- my favourites are the third and the seventh now...

The death that shocked me the most was Snape's... I cried so much during the chapter 'A Prince's Tale'... :(

I hope all of you enjoyed the book as much as I did! :)

Well I wasn't spoiled. I am still reading Order of the Phoenix. I was going to college the last few years and had to put aside my pleasure reading. But I have a bad habit. I read ahead in books so I basically know what happens in books 6 and 7. Yeah I always knew that Professor Snape was good-I knew there had to be a readon why Snape had to kill Dumbledore. From glancing through the book-and maybe I didn't see it-there should have been a chapter or section involving those who were kill. I know that Harry runs into Dumbledore but there should have been a scene where Snape reunites with the others and is rewarded for his bravery. I hope the movie includes something like that.

I really loved this book. I've been waiting for it for the longest time. When I stared reading it I was expecting the good part to be at the very end but surprisingly it was action-packed throughout the entire book.

I was absolutely shocked with the deaths of Hedwig, Moody, Dobby, Fred, Tonks, and Lupin.
Hedwig was just because she was an owl, why would she die. Moody because he was always portrayed as someone you just couldn't mess with because he was so though.
I absoultly cried the most when Dobby died. I don't know why but seeing his devotion to Harry and dying for him really hit me. I was crying when Harry was digging his grave and when I saw what he wrote, "Here lies Dobby, a free elf." I absolutely bawled.
Fred was one character I never expected to die. He was always so funny in the books, I always new there would be laughs whenever Fred and George were there and to see him die and then Percy crying his name it was so sad.
Tonks and Lupin, HOW DARE JK ROWLING KILL TONKS AND LUPIN. THEY HAD RECENTLY GOTTEN MARRIED AND THEY JUST HAD A SON. A WEEK OLD SON AND SHE KILLS THEM OFF. OMFG I CANNOT BELIVE IT. I was sad at first because they weren't supposed to die. They were newlyweds, she finnaly married Lupin and gave him a son and she dies it wasn't fair.
Lupin was the last marauder he survived so much and was finally happy with a wife and a son. He shouln't have died.

Eventhough the deaths made me sad it was a good book. It had it's funny part and surprising twist.

Severus Snape.

I hated him at the end of book six. I absolutly despised him. Throughout the books I simply saw him as a misunderstood character who would prove everyone wrong but when he killed Dumbledore... I couln't belive everything you found out about him. He did deep down care for Harry. He cared because he was Lily Evans son. The love of his life. Then when he died he wanted to see her eyes once more. I was crying. I relly liked the part where Harry named his son Albus Severus (Though if I had that name I would throw myself off a cliff).

Overall it was a good book and now I sad it's all over.

I really liked the book. finished it in just a few. I hate the deaths, they are so unexpected. You wouldn't think that Fred weasley, colin creevy, or dobby would die. I mean, usually comic relief characters like them dont usually get snuffed. I thought that the addition of hallows and the whole grindelwald storyline (based off a chocolate frog card, if u dont remember), was a bit much, but good nevertheless. even though its not significant, some tiny details were skipped and some stuff contradicted with each other( in the 7th book food could not be created, but in 4th book, ms weasly pours soup out of her wand), but it was a good book and a good ending to the trilogy.

PS. I don't understand why JK rowling said that no one would be able to continue the harry potter series, it seems set perfect for a sequel.

I thought the book was great. I give it a 9.9 of out of 10. I just wish JK hadn't killed Fred Weasley. I'm still recovering from the shock of his death. I realize he was a fictional character, but it certainly didn't feel like he was. I feel great sympathy for George. First, he loses his ear. Now, his best friend, his twin brother-- the only person who REALLY understood him is gone. I'm just upset that Fred had such a wonderful life ahead of him. He had a great family and he was a really funny guy. I would've liked it if George was mentioned in the epilogue. i wanted to know if he continued with his joke shop business even after the tragic loss of Fred. It's a real shame the last time he was mentioned he was kneeling at the head of his deceased brother.

I'm sorry for rambling about this. I just had to put it somewhere, and this seemed like the perfect place.

Yeh, a 9 from me as well. I did find some of he deaths shocking. I truly think the wrong Weasley died. It should have been Percy...

I wish she'd not killed Tonks and Lupin. She created another orphan, didn't she!?!

As for the others, well, I kinda expected them. But I was sure Hagrid was gonna get killed, and he didn't. Never been a huge fan...

I liked the epilogue as well. I just wish it'd been longer.

I think this is going to be my very favourite Potter book. I'm gonna start reading it again soon...

I loved the book.
The ending was fantastic.
I already knew who died by accidently reading spoiler but before then I was so scared that Harry would die! i mean, after reading all the books you sort of feel like you know him! i rate it 10/10 definitely. it is the first faultless series of books i have ever read and even if JK Rowling had only decided to write one book about harry's life but shortened only into the main storyline, she would have made it just as brilliant. THere are so many mini adventures in this book, like stories within stories-i find it amazing!

What was with the rumour that 2 people were going to die. pah! 2 people! there were so many deaths, it is almost tragic.

I was surprised w/ some of the deaths, namely Fred, Dobby, and the fact that they took both Lupin and Tonks. I thought Snape was good, but would still die, and I was pretty sure Dumbledore knew Snape was going to kill him. I liked the idea of the deathly hallows and how Harry sacrificed himself to keep everyone safe. ANd let me say that I can't wait till this movie comes out and we get to see Mrs. Weasley dueling Bellatrix...I think that was probably one of my favorite parts.

1.DEATHS-soo sad dat mad-eye moody died!!! and FRED!!! how cud she possibly killed fred? the twins were always the funniest, and DOBBY!!! i always liked that guy
2.Snape LOVED Lily!!!! omg!!!! wat a sad love story, the last paragraph of that chapter was sooo sad :[[
3.I kinda in a way wanted Harry to die but i guess the ending was good enough
4.the Hogwart battle was GREAT!!! esp. when Mrs.Weasley was screaming at Bellatrix "NOT MY DAUGHTER, Y0OU *****!!!!"- dat was nice
and of course Harry/Voldemort showdown.
5.The Kingsten Cross kinda confused me a bit-was it real or Harry's imgination
6.Dumbledore seems to b alive throghout the book even though he was dead....i mean he still advice Snape wat to do and stuff.....

9 3/4. I read the entire book in less than 36 hours. It was really good, the ending was very justified, and the epilouge was an interesting touch. It closed the adventures of the Harry Potter Trio, but introduced a whole new generation of magical children. I don't think the magic of Hogwarts is going to end with the destruction of the evilness that was Voldemort
