I don't like the Harry Potter series, I LOVE them. Sometimes it feels like Harry literally is my best friend.

as a 19 year old guy currently reading the last book, i can say that beyond the first couple books, it isn't really a kid's book anymore. the writing is very sound, the story is compelling, and the world is quite imaginative. i dislike certain ways she distorts some mythologies (such as the basilisk being a snake, basilisks are lizards in most mythologies) but most of it is very entertaining.
the movies are far from the books in quality, but that is nearly always the case (with exceptions where poorly written books contain absolutly fantastic stories, such as lord of the rings).
but yeah, i really enjoy the series. a huge number of my friends really enjoy it. if you dont like it, thats fine. i just cant stand people disliking something just because everyone else likes it, then sharing the dislike...

Well, you're missing out. Harry Potter is an inspirational character to all, and I am really sad to see the books end.

If that is your opinion then stick to it. I started reading the books to my daughter after the third book had come out, and by that time I was hooked. I enjoy the movies too, although they are not nearly as good as the books. Who knows maybe one day you may change your mind and find the magic like so many others have.

This an odd funny question, questions for people who like it or dont, more of a survey question.

Then why did you feel the need to post a question about the series then?
