Everything is now done "Politically Correct" that all they are doing is teaching "resentful" education.

Why not record what your teacher is saying in class? Then lets see if education today is not making kids resentful.

Define what you mean by "politically correct" and "resentful." Who are the students being taught to resent? How? What curricula or links do you have as proof of your unsupported assertions? Perhaps if you were more specific, we might have something to discuss here.

As for kids recording my classes, I'd love it. It might even help them with their notes. Other teachers, however, might not like it so much. For example, there was a teacher in NJ who was abusing his position and violating his students' First Amendment rights by preaching from The Bible to his students. One student tape recorded the incident. The article is right here:

It sounds like that student was resentful, but not for the reasons you're thinking of according to this and your other questions.

By the way, the teacher's legal expenses are being paid by the New Jersey Teacher's Association--an affiliate of the NEA. Hmmm...the NEA supporting a teacher who is being accused of violating his students' First Amendment rights by preaching from The Bible. This is mighty curious considering your unjust and unsupported attacks on teacher organizations in your other questions.

In some respect I agree with you. Teachers have to be on their toes all the time. We have to watch we say, what material we present, and how we discipline the kids. This all falls under "political correctness".

I don't necessarily think that it makes kids resentful. I work in a private school for kids with learning disabilities. Most of the families are wealthy and their kids have every gadget you could ever dream of owning. A lot the kids are dropped off by the nanny, left in after school clubs or tutoring until 5:00 and pick up by the nanny. There are often times when I can't reach the parents, because they are out of town on business or vacation. When you can reach them, there are those that are really quick to blame you for everything.

I honestly think that kids today are craving structure and love. They are way over indulged and come to school with an entitled attitude. If simple discipline, like detention and Saturday school (that isn't like a 15 minute timeout) were returned to schools many kids would behave and respect the education they are getting.

Political Correctness is not what is teaching our children to behave resentful towards others, its parents who only care about what the system can do for them... you can no longer be friendly towards a child without being accused of something, so children are resentful that they no longer get the attention they crave and parents who havent grown up yet!, its not the kids who have taken it to the extreme. blame parents and other adults (including ourselves) for the resentful attitude of students not the kids (remember kids are a blank slate they only know what they learn and are taught)
