It is a common misconception that evolution has some goal and that we as humans are it. We simplify the evolutionary process normally by showing it as a sort of family tree diagram with so called simpler life forms at the bottom and us at the top. This gives the impression that these creatures are somehow less evolved than us. This is not true. Monkeys are superbly evolved to be monkeys. They may evolve into a different kind of monkey depending on their own gene pool and environmental pressures upon them but they will essentially remain monkeys.
It is also wrong to think of humans as being directly related to monkeys or that monkeys are a step on the human evolutionary ladder. Although both us and monkeys have a common ancestor our evolutionary paths diverged many millions of years ago and modern monkeys have evolved as much as we have along their separate path over all that time.

If monkeys evolved to our "level", they wouldn't be monkeys anymore, they'd be human.

It's important to understand that, just because we are smarter, we are not more MORE evolved than monkeys (or any other life form present on Earth today). We have all been evolving for about the same amount of time - we just traveled along a different evolutionary path. They have their environment where they are successful at surviving and reproducing and we have ours. A human living in a monkey's environment today would not be very successful and might appear to the monkeys to be incompetent (but this is not the same thing as "less evolved").

We evolved from monkeys (not apes) after about 25 million years, but monkeys would not evolve into humans again whilst us humans are still around. If humans were no longer on Earth, another animal would adapt to fill our place, but there is no reason to assume it would be monkeys.

Barring disaster, there is no reason for humans to evolve any more, as we have reached a point where we no longer need to adapt to our environments, we can adapt our environments to suit us.

Monkeys are NOT "unevolved humans" ... in other words, monkeys are NOT some sort of intermediate "rung" on the "ladder" that leads to humans.

Please get that image out of your head as it is wrong, and completely misrepresents evolution. Creationist literature and web sites love to encourge that image of evolution, because it keeps people confused.

First, monkeys are NOT a "rung" ... an intermediate stage of anything. They are NOT our ancestors. They are fully evolved monkeys ... just as evolved as we are ... just as adapted to their environment as we are ... in the 12 million years that their branch and ours separated, they have been evolving just as much as we have.

Second, THERE IS NO LADDER. Humans are not at the top of some ladder ... we are just another twig on a great big BUSH of life. Each monkey species is another twig.

Third, evolution does NOT mean *becoming more human*. Monkeys *may* become more intelligent and reach our "level" ... or most likely they will not.

According to evolutionary scientists, we are on 2 sides of the tree and what we evolved from, is gone. So monkeys will not evolve into us.

What makes you think they will? Evolution does not necessarily make the animal more intelligent. An organism that evolves successfully is just better adapted to the environment.

This is a common misunderstanding that a species itself changes into another by evolution...........

Monkeys maybe ancestors to a more higher form of species....but its not like a race...

It is not guaranteed that they will in fact evolve to our level, and there's also no prove that we come directly from them; there is still a missing link (not that I am for any religious theory). But in any case we will always be more evolved than they are.
