I cut down the old bushes in the front of my house yesterday. I have dug in the ground about three feet and not even close to the botttom of the roots. Can I tie a chain around the stumps and pull them out with my truck?

The shrubs around my house were probably 50 years old. I used a chain and my truck to pull mine out and all but one came out easily. On the last one I had to dig around a lot more until I started to get down around the outer edge of the root core. I wrapped the chain in a big loop so the chain pulled and "cut" the remainder of the root. It took several tries and digging until I finally got it out. I'm sure the type of soil you have and the amount of moisture in the ground will affect the process too. Good Luck! Let me know what works!
