i got a new cell phone except it will not show bars so i can get service and always says serching svc what can i do to help its a sam sung sch-a950

Its a terrible thing, but it does happen. A provider will seel you a phone though there is no service where you live. Sprint was a provider that I had that problem with. I call SPRINT and cancelled my contract after only one week, due to the fact they violated my contract by not providing service to the area in which the phone contract was sold. If it is not a software problem with the phone, it is the provider. Cancell and select another.

Either it cant find a tower, or you are not paying for service on the phone.
If you are in an area that you know has service, then call your cell phone company from a land line or go into a store.

Take it back to where you got it or if you got over the internet, take it to a corporute store of your service provider.
