Who else thinks the world is coming to an end?

I think there will be a big war between China, Russia, and America. Tell me your thoughts.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

That wouldn't be the end of the world. Maybe the present civilization, or parts of it, as we see it today. The world, or Earth, itself will probably go on for a few more billion years. I don't know if the Earth would pay much attention to the end of another human civilization. There has been so many rise and falls of them in the last few measly thousand years, since the Earth has been around for about four billion years. In fact, I doubt if Earth will even notice the loss of the human race when it disappears in a few years, whether that be in hundreds or thousands or even millions of years, which is highly unlikely.
However, I don't think the "big war" will be between US, China and Russia. The Chinese realize that the dumbest thing that they could do is to get involved in a war; all they need to is look at the US. So they will stand back. A big war, sad to say now-a-days, is going to be a result of religious hatred, and you know where that is coming from. That, of course, will be between countries of the middle east and the west, which will mainly be the US. That is, if the US manages to hold together long enough to fight a big war. The US won't be able to expect much help, in the future, from its "western allies". Can't say what the Russians will do, probably watch and wait. But, I'm just an old cynic.

Why does everyone say that?The world won't end and if those Mayans are so correct then how is the world supposed to end.A giant meteor,invasion of the katar spaceships,I mean how can the world end in only five years?What about that the sun turns into a red giant theory?If it's true,then how come it isn't on the news around the world?oh yeah,and I stared your question and I think I deserve a best answer and some thumbs ups.

no one knows how or when the world will come to and end. all we know is that it is coming soon and we all have to be ready. we'll know for sure when it's coming anyway and if we knew for sure then this question wouldn't have to be asked. by the way i've heard from other people that the world's going to end in 2012, not just a mayan thing... besides everyone's predicted when the world's going to end before and it's come and gone and we're still here, so... what's funny to me though is that i graduate in 2012. :P ha. that's the end of the world, alright. :P

i think the Bible has consistently been authentic, it fairly is no longer "coming authentic". And specific, those indicators we see now, are bible prophecy coming to previous. in case you have examine extra of the bible, you will see the international or earth does not end. After the worst activities interior the historic previous of the international (the Tribulation) come to previous, and that i think of this is quickly, Jesus consists of earth for one thousand years to rule the international from Jerusalem, and then after that, the international is replaced to a ideal place, as quickly as lower back sparkling and organic, and void of sin, and this could be perpetually, and perpetually.

The world as we know it is comming to an end. There will be a new world, better or worse depending on our children. Only if our children dont carry the views of the world today, will that new world excell the world we have now.

I don't think it will. It seems like every generation thought the world was going to end, but has it happened? ;) And the Mayan calander doesn't say "earth goes BOOMY!" or something like that, lol. It's more along the lines of it ascending, some think it means like a recreation, but others believe it will be the end of religion.

Tribulation, that is how you spell it in spanish but yeah. I dont study the bible or anything but i believe that the world and everything will end when "La Gran Tribulation" comes.

Define end, even if it changes it will go on probably outlive humanity in all its forms.
