Yeah I think every driver eventually hits an animal.
A quick story this guy driving in front of me one day through some winding back roads sped up when he saw a wild turkey crossing the roads. He nailed it and features went flying. He deliberately did this to the poor animal. I followed him to the next parking lot he went into and gave him an ear full. He was a real tough guy behind the wheel of his car but a little wimp when it was a fair contest.

Two times. Once a Dog chasing a rabbit ran right in front of my jeep. Another time a Deer ran in front of my van. I swerved and just barely clipped the Deer with my bumper. The dog went clear under my jeep and out the back The Dog didn't die either ! It rolled down the road a piece and got up and took of running !

A squirrel ran out in front of me once, we both didn't know which way to go - he (or it could have been a she, but only a bloke is capable of doing something that stupid) started running one way, I was trying to maneuver my car the other way - although it only lasted about 3 seconds it seemed like an hour of just trying to decide which direction to go.
In the end he managed to get in the middle of the car so I didn't squash him but he then ran straight into the inside of my wheel (from under the car) and knocked himself out, so I pulled over and ran back to get him out the road but I didn't reach him in time and a huge lorry ran straight over his poor little unconscious body.
I have never forgiven myself.

Sadly, yes. The neighbor's cat ran out in front of me. I bawled for hours.
On a separate occasion, a pig struck our car. It was on the side of the road, and when we passed by, it turned and ran into the side of the car.

Yes..I almost cried but there was traffic so I couldn't just stop in the middle of the highway cause an animal was in the way! It happened like 3 years ago and I still remember it.

Yep, sadly. Some lady's little dog ran out in front of my Miata one day... it darted out from between two parked cars. There was no way I could have avoided it.
It was really upsetting, but at the same time... she really should have had her dog on a leash, on a crowded street in the big city.

No, but a deer hit me on the rear back side of the van and ran into the woods one time.
I won't even run over dead animals.... It's disrespectful.

yes! a huge white cat, and I felt terrible. I was driving not paying much attention and all of a sudden i saw his big eyes looking at me in front of my car and then i felt the car run him over. i started freaking out and crying and everything. Rest in peace cat.
