You can't beat a Dodge with a Cummins turbo diesel.

Chevrolet has never put a two cycle Detroit Diesel in any pickup.
I have the greatest respect for the Cummins diesel motors in Dodge pickups. Too bad the transmissions can't match the rest of the truck.
The Fords are fumbling around and changing things every day trying to match the power, torque and fuel economy of the Chevrolet diesel. The new Ford Twin Turbo clunker does not match the torque or horsepower in the Chevy.

Have fun shopping!

Dodge is by far, the best trucks out there. The 2500 with the new 6.7 liter cummins diesel is by far the best choice between the crappy international engines in the ford and the Detroit diesels in the Chevy's.

That would be a matter of opinion in most cases and where your ultimate biases lie. It also depends on what you are looking for in particular (towing, performance, driveability, comfort, etc...) Edmunds did a test on 1-ton trucks for towing and you can see the results here: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Comparos/articleId=115662/pageId=98012

So again, it all depends on what "better" you would be looking for. The Edmunds site has a lot of information you can poke around for.

Here are the two best reviews.

http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/2007/shootout/hdshootout1.html In car and Driver, Motor Trends, Pickuptruck.coms, Smartmoneys, NACTY, Motorweeks, and my opinion, the Silverado is the best pickup.

Yes. Usually.

Without a full definition of "better", this has no answer, and there are those who would argue for each of the brands being "best", which of course is logically not possible. Matter of taste.
