Jack and Vera are the best thing since Stan and Hilda Ogden.
Coronation street will not be the same without her.

No, not really, and let's be honest her appearances have been so fleeting lately and her story lines so feeble she has hardly been noticeable but, having said all that, Liz Dawn has, over the years, created a much loved and believable character in Vera (how many of us don't know a 'Vera') and I wish her all the best for the future.

Corrie is a great balance of drama and comedy,and the Duckworths have been a great double act.
I hope they give Vera a great farewell story,maybe a large lottery win.....

its true liz dawn is leaving coronation street due to serious health problems bill tarmeys health has been poor too recently maybe this great soap couple should leave together as they came in together and they cant break up a great partnership like theirs by writing one out without the other .

Yes, she is an excellent actress and one of the few who can get away with a bit of 'farce' and caricature.
I suspected she may have health problems; how sad. The Street will not be the same without her.

Yes lots!! her and Jack fight like cat and dog, but they have the strongest and most sustained marriage ever on that show!! You can tell that they love each other to bits really. I bet the actor Bill Tarmey who plays Jack is going to miss her like mad aswell!!

I will.. Theres one Jack and Vera.. Just like Hilda and Stan.. They want to develop more strong characters.. Bet Lynch was another.. Elsie Tanner.. Hope she has a good retirement and wish her all the best..

yes that is what the papers say, I'm curious as to what the story line will be if Jack stays in it.! They are not killing her off, but leaving it open for her to return.
