Most sports cars will have a poor fuel efficiency, because most sports cars are driven harsh, so if you want a sports car that's made to go full steam, and relatively good fuel economy, go for a Ford fiesta ST 2L

No sports car gets good gas mileage unless you drive it like an economy car and that makes it pointless. The lotus elise stands out for fuel economy though and it looks awesome.

Sports cars are about speed, horsepower and performance. If fuel economy is a concern of yours, then get yourself a "sporty" compact car.

well, I have a VW GTI, which is a small sporty and pretty fast car...

it does 0-60mph in 5.9 with the DSG geatbox, and gets about 34mpg on the highways...

its a 2litre turbo engine with 200HP... not that much HP, but I have given some nissan 350Z's a hiding! so its not all about the HP, its the size with power to weight ratio! :)
