It is best to take the battery out if you use the LT plugged in for long periods. It charges and discharges slightly even if you are not using the battery, shortening the life.

Does not make a difference if you use battery or an electrical source to the health of the LT.

Well, I don't ave any documentation on this, but I've kept mine plugged in all the time for just about two years, and it's still working.

no! not at all but it would be good to let the battery run down sometimes so that it can get a fresh charge. from time to time.

yes, unplug the laptop when its fully charged and your battery will last longer.
