The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". It scared me from the second the film began, with the snapshots of the crime scenes and that creepy indescribable noise that was played with them. I guess the rest of the movie scared me so much and left me sleepless for several nights was because:
A. I saw it when I was just a kid (so wrong!)
B. The surroundings (ordinary sleepy country town) look so normal on the outside; it could be Anytown, USA. That meant, "If it could happen there it could happen here..." And that was enough to keep me awake for a long time.

Those hellraiser movies. I couldn't stand those. Never actually got all the way through the first one! Still makes me shiver.
And, back in the day, when I was a kid, I can remember my mom and her friend going to see the Excorist, and they talked about how awful it was, and my moms friend got sick. Years later when I saw it, I remember trying to figure out what the big deal was. LOL. Too much Friday the 13th by that time I guess.

Scary movies have never made me sleep w/ the lights on all night. If anything, I turn out the lights and watch scary movies, imo, the darkness makes the movie even better.

the only time that ever happened to me was when i was about six and i saw the exorcist, i had nightmares for about a month. but now i can watch anything and its not scary.lately movies arent even scary anymore the only one that came close was the hills have eyes and that still wasnt that bad, i was just scared because i went on vacation after it and we were in a trailor...haha creepy

A documentary about George Bush freaked me out pretty good. I was paranoid for three weeks. Now I'm fine again, but I'm never gonna see that documentary again.
