I think they may be lying, frankly. Otherwise, they must not have a conscience.
All humans make mistakes, including actions that they know will be adverse for others. You know, self-centered choices.
However, it's possible to live your life as benevolently as possible, balancing your actual needs with actions that will actually help others first. This I've been trying to do for about ten years now, and mostly succeeding -- any my life has been more enjoyable and less troubled as a result.
And though I have regrets about the past, I try not to dwell on them. The best thing to do is examine what happened and strive to not repeat it. And if you DO make a mistake, it's always best to apologize and make amends immediately. Just dwelling on the past actually squanders the present -- yet another thing to regret in the future.
Excellent question, by the way.

I have no regrets I believe things happened for a reason and even if I did things differently they would've been the same anyway. Yes and no, I mean the people that I know really well and they say they have no regrets I believe because I've been through a lot of things with them, but if I don't know them then I probably don't believe them because I don't know if they're just saying that to make themselves look cooler or if they're just looking for a self esteem boost.

I truly don't have any regrets. Everything I've done has gotten me to where and who I am today. I'm content with myself and my life. In answer to those of you who think I have no conscience, that is far from the truth. I've made amends for the things I've done that hurt others and myself and I work to take responsibility for my faults and thoughtless actions and apologize for them as soon as I can. I try to treat people as I wish to be treated and that makes for a good life and a clean conscience. Of course I sometimes look back and wonder what things would be like had I taken a different path, but I don't regret the choices I've made along the way.

Why not?Every body is different & life really is too short to spend time regretting things you may or maynot have done.....You make a mistake ,you except it,get over it ,get on with your life...So my honest answer is that I do believe that some people have no regrets just as I believe that some people do have regrets ..

That actually depends on how one might look at their life. For instance one may say to regret one thing would mean that they wouldn't be where they are today. I believe that everything we experience in our lives - good and bad - is what make us who we are today. I personally love my life so to regret something would mean I am not happy with the outcome - which I am. So the question is not do you regret but are you happy with yourself today?

I do.
I think you can look at your life a couple of different ways, and people who say they have no regrets look at their lives as if everything they've done and experienced makes them who they are today. Without those things happening, good or bad, they wouldn't be who they are.
I don't have any regrets. Things I think shouldn't have happened, but I know when I really think about it that I wouldn't change any of my personal actions in my life.

I'm a big fan of the line in My Way, "Regrets, I've had a few, but then again too few to mention..."
I think that comes closer to reality in a well balanced life.

No I don't. I believe everyone has something they wish they could do over, even if it is just one thing. I, on the other hand, wish I could do my entire life over, and start fresh. I have made one mistake after another and there seems to be no end in sight for my stupidity.

Absolutely.
If one lives from the heart, feels into everything that is presented, moves on the obviousness of the solution, answer, or direction.
Then there is no regrets.
Live in the moment.
