i want to make my friend a b-day card. She is turning 14 and i want it to be really pretty . HELP!!!

I make my own birthday cards and always put a random celeb,ie Shania, on it with a message like "Shania wishes you a very happy birthday', odd yes but it's a card they will remember and can be a talking point when conversation gets a bit dull.

Make it special. What does she like? Find pictures and paste them onto the card, put decorations such as ribbon and flowers on it. Use your best handwriting. Make it look really special, but don't overdo it. There is such a thing as and overloaded card. Have fun with it! Make the card a different shape, or use a pretty color of paper!

Check out the scrapbooking sites on the net - many of them have free printables (designs and backgrounds) and free projects.
Many of the scrapbooking sites also have great ideas for making cards.
