the simplest thing to tell you is stop putting so much stock into what other people think, because in the end, it's not what everyone else thinks about you that determines whether you go to heaven or hell. Don't dive off the wrong end though in overcorrecting yourself. There are times when you need to be sensitive, just as there are times where you need to be tougher. You have to learn when to use what approach, and experience is the best teacher of that. For reference, if someone REALLY can't help it, try being sensitive first. If they're being a jerk on purpose, that's when you need to be tough.

As far as building tolerance to other people's views.... if you believe in something, then know why you believe it. When you know why you believe what you do, it doesn't bother you so much to see someone who contradicts your views, because you can simply say "psh.... idiot" and it no longer bothers you.

truthfully everyone is going to tell you deep breathing helps but i use to be easily frustrated myself and it just does not work for me.

empathy can not be taught however try placing yourself into the persons point of view. Put yourself in there background meaning in there economic, social, educational, religious, ethnic, racial etc background as best you can. Try to be them and see why there reacting or feeling the way they are. Sometimes trying to be someone else helps. However this does not always work sometimes a persons views are so foreign this is not possible

if that is the case keep in mind that we are all different and if we were all the same the world would be very boring lol, also try to be polite and agree to disagree to badger or beat the point in the ground if it is really bothering you and you are feeling worked up or agitated try to change the subject or walk away.

I am not saying walk away everytime i am just saying no need to get yourself upset about things it is healthier to know what your view is and to just be secure in it and not have to push it. Walking away is not walking away from your view it is not backing down from what you believe. You still believe it but it is watching out for your health.

When agitated a certain hormone is released into your body this hormone actually cuts years off of your life. Therefore it is best to keep oneself as far away from anxiety as often as one can.
