Why do some men resort to name calling when they are rejected?

why not just go away quietly?

Because it bruises their precious ego and they can't think of anything intelligent, or mature to say.

Because they are hurt and they don't know any other way to do things. Some men grow up and take it like a man. But, others don't know how to handle rejection. They fall back to name calling so they can make you feel worse than they do. Or to make them feel better.

Because we don't want to get "dissed"

Women do this too.

When you argue after you get rejected, you sort of "bargain" your way into not getting rejected, OR you make it seem like they're missing out on you by rejecting you.

i'm not sure, but it kinda goes the other way too. nobody likes rejection. if the guy really doesn't have alot going on 'upstairs' as far as social skills and problem-solving, name-calling may be his only response.

Because they are immature and insecure about themselves. They need a woman approval and attention to validate themselves as men.
