When all is said and done, and much more has been said than done so far, Bonds' numbers will stand. Everyone will know just what those numbers are worth, so it won't matter if baseball condones steroid usage or not. Baseball has itself to blame a great deal for this situation, and isn't in a position to take it out on Barry Bonds, no matter how big of a punk he has been. He has played in a regrettable age for baseball, thanks largely to himself, and the record should reflect that. . . .

You're kidding, right???
I think letting the late Kan Caminitti keep his MVP award after he admitted using steroids is bit more "condoning" than putting Bonds in the record books.

No.
But we are condoning stupidity in this country. People who don't care to know about what steroids actually do to the body longterm. I mean after 5+ years of steroid use he would be out of baseball by now. But, no, people think they know everything.

I don't condone the use of steroids, but since he and others did it when HGH and steroids were not yet banned or illegal, why would we incriminate someone who is truly innocent?
That's common sense and if someone is doing something that is not illegal, but gets wrongly accused, are they not backwards in thinking and just plain retarded?
Drugs are bad, but when they took the substances, no testing or penalty was enforced by MLB.

No I dont think it would be condoning using steroids beacuse he was never convicted. Did he probably use them later in his career...yes, but he was a great player even before steroids or any alleged steroid use. I dont think hes a great person, or even a good one, but he is a great ballplayer and in that respect he deserves to be in the hall of fame as does Pete Rose.

no it would not
at this point there is NO evidence that bonds used steroids other than the Game of Shadows book
if he were to fail a test, it would be a different story, but as of now he should be regarded as the greatest player in history

He hasn't failed a steroid test. I wish fans & media would stop acting as if he's the only one who has done it.
