I want it to sound like no mufflers or just straight pipes but those arent legal in NC

i have glass packs, if i add preformance mufflers will they be louder

They just came back out with the Cherry Bomb mufflers. Check Auto Zone or Advance. And the Thrush mufflers sound good too.

Drive around for a while and let the glass packs you have get hot.. very hot, you may wanta run it a little hard, just don't get a ticket or jailed. with the mufflers hot, use a hose and fill them with cold water. When they quit cracking and making ticking noises, start the engine and rev it a few times, then start over at the beginning and do it again. Make sure you do not stand behind the pipes when you do this, as fiberglass shards are traveling very fast as they leave the pipe, and can be imbedded in your body. Do this untill you get the level of sound you want. I would recommend not too noisey untill you mass it hard. It works, I've done it numerous times on my old cars from years ago.

Depends what yr go with a cat back exhaust as no mufflers will cost you tickets.An is annoying to others.

Most states, including NC, have laws on the books making it illegal to run with a modified exhaust system. By definition, if the factory didn't put it on, it's modified. Seldom enforced, unless you are putting out excess noise.
Answer, unless you want to collect fix it tickets, you can't.

I guess you can just change the stock mufflers with performance mufflers. thats all

Anything "loud" should be illegal. Some people want to enjoy some peace and quiet not listen to your truck rumbling down the road.

why loud ??? loud does not make a truck fast, make it fast and look good forget loud you will just attract cops and tickets
