Pretty cool. I like the ones with the media references, like "Kill Bill," Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, things like the that. Those look pretty recent, but another one that deserves a mention was Steve Shields' mask when he was with Boston. It's a Gerry Cheevers-inspired design. Basically, the back of the helmet/mask was painted hair with sweat and a strap, while the front has one of the original white, Mike Meyers masks with stitches all over...just like Gerry Cheevers. It's such a gorgeous mask, not just the theme, but the colours, the artwork, and style used.

I designed my goalie mask with the Turco style bricks, and a wolf on top since my school mascot is a wolf. I would have to say that Marty's is pretty cool. He has had his same style of mask for most of his career.
I also like hannu Toivonen's mask, It is made to look like a Cheevers mask, kind of like what steve shields did a few years back, but Hannu's is better.
Also, I have to say that I like John Grahame and Cam Wards mask, becuase the guy who did theirs did mine.
Jose Theodore has a really cool one, so does Dipietro, Fleury and Giguere.
I would say the Kolzigs is amazing, but knowing how much it cost, it should be amazing. Kolzigs masks cost more than twice as much as other goalies. they are good though, and if you can afford it, might as well use it.

I am going to take a different route than most of the other people who have answered so far. Out of the masks on the SI site, Luongo's bone white mask with the old school Canucks logo is my favorite. My all-time favorite mask, and I admit this is biased even more than usual because the same artist did my mask and I wore it tonight, is Garth Snow's Abominable Snowman mask for the Islanders.

I have a few answers, i think that Ilya Bryzgalov has a really cool mask, and i also like Dubbie's mask. I like the term "Bulin Wall" on The Mask Of Khabibulin, i give Turco Props for the Scariest looking mask And Huet for the lamest one lol. Budaj has the best foreign animal on his lol, Defenently Marty Bordeur with the classiest mask for sure, I like how Denis has the god of lightning on his. But the Most Beautiful masks i have seen, one is not posted on that site, it would be the mask of Jean-Sebastien Aubin and the other one is Andrew Raycroft.

Those Are Some Links To Aubins Mask. I hope you guys agree with me, and i know it said most beautiful mask, but i thought it would be nice to say what i thought about other masks and give them a different Genre.

Theodore's and Halak's. Theodore's mask just really looks awesome with the gargoyles on it, really artistic, he sucks though, if only he could play half as good as his mask looks... Halak's mask is just awesome! He's got Patrick Roy lifting the Cup on the side, shows respect for his fav player. And he's got the Slovakian flag, shows respect for his homeland. Other favorites are Miller's "miller time", and Nittymakki's gangster guy. Top 5 masks:
1. Halak's
2. Theodore's
3. Miller's
4. Nitty's
5. Biron's (it's got Rocky on it)

Ed Belfour's 'Eagle' back in his Chicago Blackhawk days. The team colors fed into the emotional wartime 'USA' theme too since we had just gone into in Iraq (for round 1) back in the 90s.
There have been more creative ones (Bulin 'wall' for example), but the Belfour one had it all, including BEAUTIFUL artwork and color.
Going retro, didn't Gerry Cheevers have stitch marks drawn on his plain white mask to mark each time his mask got hit? That was very cool too!

I'm a simple guy. I've alwasy loved Gilles Villemure's smiley face mask and Doug Favell's pumpkin orange one. But for actual artwork, I liked Curt Ridley's crossed Nux stick logos.
The new masks suck as the cage breaks up the artwork.
