I have a 97 saturn sc. When im just sittin at a red light or stop sign in Drive, it sounds like somthing is squeaky. When i just sit in Neutral, it goes away. What could be the cause of this? Is it a belt issue , and if so how much would that cost to fix if its only minor.

It sounds like a belt. You can look under the hood and see how much tension is on the belts........should be 1/2 inch of play or less. You may need to just tighten one if it is looser than that.

A 97 Saturn only has one belt...the accessory belt. Luckily for you, the timing is on a chain. So this is not a big, big deal. Your Saturn shop can help you easily. I always ask for someone factory-trained, just to make sure I'm getting the best tech possible. This is no sweat. Don't worry. =) I'm sorry, I don't recall how much this would cost, but I remember thinking it was no big thing. You could always call first!
