I am wanting to use contact paper to adhere pictures to glass. I know it works with clear contact. But if the sticky side is on the glass, can you see whatever pattern is on the paper. I want to not only adhere the picture to the glass, but use the contact as the backing for the picture.

Interesting question - I would try what you want to attempt to do on a smaller separate size of glass first - then see what the results turn out to be. You may be on to a "first ever" type of thing and could turn out to be a big success - Good Luck...

If you see anything it will be very faint. Why don't you apply an adhesive to the back of the picture, and apply it to the front of the contact paper, then remove the backing off the contact and apply it to the glass. If you are trying to protect the picture, you can apply a laminating paper to the front. You can get the adhesive and laminating sheets at any large craft store. Look in the scrap booking section.
